I find beauty in simple things. I grew up surrounded by antique furniture, original artwork, beautiful silver teaspoon collections and delicate fine china from Germany and Ireland. So I feel a special love for painting still life.<br />

I derive great pleasure from painting objects that mean something to me, or to my collectors. Every still life painting is a challenge that allows me to grow as an artist. When a piece of my artwork speaks to someone, I consider it a privilege.

Painting the landscape of California is steeped in tradition. Everywhere you look there is a breathtaking vista, or majestic mountains, or waves crashing onto the beach. <br />
<br />
Attempting to capture the natural beauty that surrounds us "en plein air" is both challenging and exhilirating each time I step outdoors. I am in awe of the beauty surrounding me and I hope to capture Nature's essence in all its simple grandeur in my paintings.
